Welcome to Canadian Alumni (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Canadian Alumni website, platform, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Canadian Alumni is a community-based platform designed to connect individuals and organizations around shared experiences, interests, goals, and values. The Platform may include community groups, events, messaging, content sharing, and other interactive features.

By submitting User Content, you grant Canadian Alumni a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the rights necessary to share it.
The Platform may allow users to create or join groups, host events, and communicate with others.
Canadian Alumni:
Does not guarantee attendance, participation, or outcomes of any event;
Is not responsible for interactions between users, whether online or in person;
May moderate or remove groups, events, or communications that violate these Terms.
Participation in events or groups is at your own risk.
Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws.

Canadian Alumni:

Your conduct harms the community or Platform; or

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canadian Alumni shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) to access the Platform in the preceding 12 months.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Canadian Alumni, its directors, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
Your use of the Platform;
Your violation of these Terms; or
Your infringement of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
